Ad dollars follow eyeballs…it’s that simple.

According to a recent article posted by the University of Texas, mobile users spend approximately 10% of their time with mobile devices, yet only 1% of advertising opportunities are on mobile. Only 7% of users time is spent with print media, yet 25% of advertising dollars go to print.  Some folks close to the industry report that mobile advertising will surpass desktop internet revenue in just one to three years.

Newspapers need to evaluate how they are preparing for this transition in ad spend. I ask you, do you have mobile programs for all of your major advertising verticals? Does your mobile offering allow for premium advertising sales opportunities? If not, Classified Concepts can help!
