The most important sales call is to your own sales people.
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review just launched our Garage Sale program, and boy did they do it right! I love to see newspapers fully embracing our products and putting every effort toward making them successful. Pittsburgh knows that the most important sales presentation to make is to their own sales force. Without the buy-in of sales reps who will undoubtedly be responsible for the sales success of the program, the likelihood of a high ROI is slim. Knowing my Classified Management background, and the fact that, well, I happen to know our programs pretty well; the Tribune reached out to me to launch the program to their sales force. I was pumped…they were excited about the program (especially the mobile component)…and now, I can’t wait to track their success!
